  The food is good here, the eggplant and artichokes have good texture but minimal taste. My favorite was the chicken quesadillas. The waiter was very helpful.

  Good and attentive service, and the tortilla I had with my beer was really excellent. The tourist area location (though much less so than the Playa Mayor for example) made me worried that it might be of lower standard but I was pleasantly surprised.

  Typically touristy with below average food in a city that offers fabulous food around every corner. The service was below average by staff that were just doing a job. Not a hint of care. Nice setting on the square. Don’t bother - there is better.

  We love taking visitors to Lateral in Santa Ana. This is the type of restaurant and food that we want visitors to remember when they think of their Madrid trip. Great selection and quality of food. There's something for everyone and we love ordering different dishes every time we go. Terrace seating available, but we always end up inside which is nice too. Great cocktails. We tend to go on a weeknight and relatively early to avoid the worst of the crowds, but it's always full when we're there despite it not being peak dinner time. It's the restaurant that never fails to come to mind when we run into tourists and they request dinner recommendations.

  I love the food (though expensive and small quantities) but what I got shocked by was how rude the girl in the terrace is. You have to ask for a table and then wait to be called, and I saw how she was answering to the other clients. I saw her telling to a man that "it was not her problem if he didn't hear her say his name" and to "suck it up". Won't go back because of her. The 2 stars go for the food, if it weren't that good I'd give a 0.

  we went as a group of 6 on a Saturday night and had a brilliant time. Food was excellent, loved the tortilla and tuna salad. The most generous portion of sangria and the waiter couldn't have been more helpful. Had to queue for about half an hour but we sat in the plaza and had a drink while we waited! Would definitely go back!

  Food was average except die the croquettas! Ate Tuna tataki, pumpkin, Duck and ceviche.

  Love the atmosphere, tapas are a delight. Great place for a date. You MUST try the Ox/Bull tail, you will not regret it. Be sure to watch your things even when inside a resto pic-pocket happens everywhere.
