  Best Mexican food I’ve had in Europe. Can’t speak highly enough about this place - great food, very friendly people and a unique space for a restaurant.
  
  You can tell that they really care about the food they’re making, their community and the experience for us diners. Worth it 10/10.

  My daughters and I went to La Turulita while in Madrid, we had a lovely time, my daughter said it was the best Tacos she as ever had!!! The decor was lovely, and there is a story behind why they opened up the restaurant and it’s so sweet. Even the logo is beautiful and has a meaning, the beautiful couple who own/run where so helpful, kind and really welcoming. The food and Margaritas was delicious and so nice to try real traditional Mexican food. Would recommend to anyone who’s in Madrid.

  Amazing food and most importantly brilliant hosts! Daniel and the team have created the best Mexican restaurant in Madrid hands down. Hopefully they can start rolling it out to other cities soon!

  You have Taco Restaurants and you have Taco enthusiasts, La Turulita is neither, in my humble opinion they are Taco Artisans. Authentic, regional tacos served up per order. My wife came across La Turulita via the internet and said we need to try this place, as we were in pursuit of tacos that taste the same (or as close as) to the ones our Mexican friends have generously made for us over the years. And we have tried a fair amount of "taco specialists" here in Madrid, but La Turulita outshone them all. Simply put, their recipes left us speechless. Coupled with the fact that the owners (an incredibly sweet couple) provided hospitality that was enchanting and homely at the same time. Real food, with real origins made with humility and passion. If you live in Madrid, passing through or willing to travel for tacos, then you've read the write review.

  Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely Mexican taqueria in the Retiro area of Madrid. My first experience at this cozy restaurant left the best impression and I have been going religiously for a year ever since. The tacos are amazing, and the service is unmatched. Go for lunch, dinner or brunch and you won’t be disappointed. Veronica and Daniel (fabulous couple) know what they’re doing and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Highly recommended!
