First of all, the weather is the main factor, that’s why we came, winter sun. We don’t play golf so I can not comment on how good the golf is. But the place is nice. Just not our ‘cup of tea’ it’s an expats place, not really Spanish.
But it depends what your looking for, if you like football, beer and noise, (oh and sun) in the bars and restaurants, you’ll be happy here.
Tidy and smart Hilton 30 Euros away in a taxi from Corvera Airport in Murcia.
Very large food portions.
Their lake seemed lacking in much water!
Loads of cheap bank repossession 2 bed flats at under €60, k. Advertised on the resort
We stayed for 5 days at the Double Tree Hilton Murcia on a golfing holiday from Dubai.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable offering lovely beds and feather pillows, quite A/C and helpful courteous staff.
Breakfast was varied and of good quality and they offered free car park when you became a Hilton member for free.
We decided to dine one evening in the Vinoteca restaurant and had a drink in the bar beforehand. I had the best pink gin I have ever had prepared in my life by the lovely bar man Dalibar Blagojevic. It truly was a deliciously well balanced drink of dried and fresh fruits. We were also honoured with his presence and experienced guidance of wine selection with our meal in the restaurant. The wine he suggested was delicious and perfect with what we ordered but sadly the food failed to impress for a 5 star hotel. The grilled squid was ok ‘ although nothing special, but the cod my husband had was wet and soggy, cool and tasteless as was the wet mush of parsnip below. Very disappointing! We were grateful at least for the professionalism and expertise of Dalibar for our lovely drinks that we enjoy and hope Hilton realise what a gem of an employee they hold as he told us he has worked for them for 15 years! What an asset he is for Hilton and hope they realise that! Hopefully they will take on board our opinion on the poor quality of the restaurant food and then it would make it a perfect blend!
Our stay was fantastic. The superior king room was very good and we slept like a baby. I am a Hilton Honours member and I can say that the hotel merts every Hilton expectation. Lovely pool with amazing view. If you have a car, eat in the awesome Italian restaurant Trattoria, it is a 10 minute drive and so worth it. We went there because the staff of Acacia was very rude and it turned out very good.
This is a hidden gem in the entire Hilton portfolio. $90 per night including buffet breakfast in a resort is unbeatable. Fantastic views, even better swimming pool, kiddie play room, another indoor pool, gym, & spa with 25 euro manicures are just some of the desirable characteristics. Yards away, within the gated community are 3 pubs and an Indian restaurant. Wednesdays are street fair evenings with vendors selling everything from burgers to buttons.
Been here for lunch several times and it's lovely. Very friendly staff.
Unbelievably bad experience with a La Torre security guard and the lady who works at the entrance way. Resort is deserted, parked outside of flat for 1 minute to get my phone to save taking my one year old into the apartment. Returned to security guard writing ticket. Asked him how to pay it. He couldn't tell me. Went to security gate to ask how to pay. They couldn't tell me. Neither person would give me their name but it happened at 1730 - 1745 on 18/10/2017. I would suggest that if you are handing out parking tickets, your staff should at least know how to pay them! Total farce.
Newly re-opened and offering some of the best views on the site. Allowed me to use the business facilities and wifi for free whilst staying at the resort. Staff are helpful and professional.
Fabulous hotel! So pretty, modern and very clean. The staffs made such a great service, and they were so friendly to us. Definitely a place I'll visit again and stay for more than one night.
Well maintain resort environment with a strong management team deliveringvresults for local owners. This translates into a very pleasant place to relax and enjoy time with family in a safe and clean environment.
Great for families. Golf, holidsys5
The hotel and bars/restaurants were all closed so couldn't experience the full resort
Hotel is currently closed after being derelict for 3 years. New owners planning on renovating. Looks like a great plot and I'm sure it will be lovely once open again
Intercontinental La Torre is closed and has been for at least 18 months
Very cool
