Octapus with pumpkin was good! Combine with chardonnay wine at only 13 per bottle! Overall a convenient option for a small or big group for lunch or dinner, you can even walk in without reservation. Its a modern trendy place for tapas but not too fancy or pretentious. However service can be a bit slow due to the big number of tables served.
In the restaurant it is still permitted to smoke. Our kids loved the cigar smell from the table next to us. a joke of a "terrace".
Food is ok, yet overpriced.
Bar is nice, well set up, with slow service at rush hour.
A place to have a beer with your friends visiting from abroad. Not much more.
Our first stop in Madrid upon checking into our hotel. Awesome outdoor bar / restaurant with an urban jungle surrounding you as you eat. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the sangria is on point. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor of Mercado San Anton, a three story market with groceries, restaurants, etc. Last but not least, on a 99 degree day in Madrid we were still incredibly comfortable sitting outside. Game, set, match - check this place out.
In my opinion is a bit overrated. Steak tartare is mediocre, yet cheaper than most places. Service was slow but super friendly. Nice place to go, although don't speak an awesome quality dinner
Refused to seat claiming restaurant was full. It was not. Was told they only have two dinner seating nightly. If you're reservations only, please update your website to show that. Or don't be rude to Americans and Germans.
Not good at attention. It looked like they had enough clients in the day and we were redundant
Lovely restaurant. We just stayed in the bar lounge. Comfy couches, and beautiful atmosphere. Drinks are expensive. Staff was great.
The food was good but not memorable EXCEPT the chocolate crisp dessert. If you go to the market of San Anton you must at least have a coffee and the chocolate crisp desert. It's a literal explosion in your mouth.
Daily menu is very economic but don't expect miracles. Meat quality is medium, squids taste like from the can. Dishes from "la carta" are probably better - tried "langostinos in tempura" which were good. Service was very good and friendly. Good wine by glasses.
Typical place where you will pay the "rooftop tax". Average drinks and cocktails (they don't really know how to do it) but extremely expensive. It might worth a visit but do not consume there, go to other place. This is the bar at the terrace not the market. Market is fine.
