Wonderful views over the lake and mountains. Very peaceful place to spend a weekend and relax. Good base from which to visit the nearby Congots sites. Rooms are simple and clean although one of them had some tobacco smell lingering which quickly cleared! If u go there be sure to include the buffet dinner in the room rate. There are limited options around for food and paying later turns out more expensive.

Central for great rides. Beautiful scenery. The food is easy and the hotel is family run.

Convenient location. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was quite good. Poor ventilation and heating control in our room. Water temperature and pressure were unreliable. Plumbing issues with sewer odour from drain should be corrected.

My wife and I booked a half-board stay at this hotel on strength of its proximity to two trails we were interested in hiking, as well as the attractive discount on offer in January and February. We had glorious weather (mid teens Celsius and sunny) and two spectacular hikes, the second from a trailhead within easy walking distance of the hotel. The area looks very promising and far less crowded than some of the better-known hill-country and mountainous hiking areas closer to Barcelona.

The desk staff were cheerful and helpful, the dining room staff a bit less so, perhaps because of under-staffing.

The room was spacious and very well heated, with a king-sized bed and a lovely pine ceiling. As a room for couples, it could be improved if the window were visible from the bed (it's at a 90% angle) and if the view were to the east, over the lake, or to the south, towards the brutally beautiful Montsec range. Instead, we got the highway headed north. The bathroom was not as well appointed as the sleeping area and suffered from bright fluorescent lights, though water pressure was very good. The walls were thinnish, but not scandalously so.

The buffet-style half-board and full-board dining room features some very good local cuisine, especially the rice dishes. Some promising local sausages and white beans, as well as the wild mushrooms, were less flavourful than we'd expected, and frankly cold, though we arrived for dinner promptly at 8:30. The only draw-back at breakfast was weak coffee from a temperamental coffee machine, made from a powdered mix rather than espresso of any kind. The coffee would have gone down a bit better if it had been hotter.

All in all, very good value for money in a very attractive area, and real potential for five stars (I wanted to give it three and a half) if a few improvements are made.
