  Horrible experience, avoid these guys. Went for dinner here, the food is ok but overpriced. Offered me free coffee but then charged for ittried to hide that fact from but then just said "yeah sorry" when challenged. I left after dinner but finding my hostel cut Wi-Fi off at 7pm I walked straight back to restaurant to use a little of the Wi-Fi there (free for guests eating there) to book a flight. Sat outside, in clear sight. After 5 minutes the older gentlemen came over and said hi, clearly checking if I was using internet. They then turned off the Wi-Fi and even followed me along the path to make sure I left. Unpleasant people - avoid them.

  I have come to this wonderful little hotel on five different occasions over the past 16 years. It is a hidden gem on Lake Atitlan that I highly recommend. First, there are more varied options around Lake Atitlan than just about anywhere else in Central America. This place is for anyone who wants a relaxing, beautiful and peaceful place on the lake. Second, the staff are all wonderfully kind and helpful. In case you haven't read this elsewhere, it is, as far as I know, the only hotel on the lake owned and operated by a local Mayan family. Third, the restaurant is delicious and has different options each night. Fourth, the rooms are comfortable, clean and inviting.
  
  For me, a relaxing, friendly, peaceful, comfortable place like Arca de Noe is perfect. I have spent Christmas here as a Peace Corp volunteer, taken my wife here for a romantic getaway and taken my daughters while we swam and climbed volcanoes. At each stage of life, Arca de Noe has been wonderful.

  Great 3 course meal for 90Q (Chicken Main) and 100Q (Fillet Mignon) respectively. Soup and bread to start and apple pie and coffee for dessert. Maria our waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice setting by the lake side.

  Such a nice place to stay- the local family that run this place are lovely- they made me dinner even after the kitchen had closed ! I had a private room. The garden is super pretty. Santa Cruz is verrrrry chilled out and quiet. - I did nothing else than swim in the lake and read.

  Beautiful waterfront view from little "bungalows" or houses. The hotel's website definitely doesn't do it justice. I just had to share additional photos! If you are used to Guatemalan accommodation like being "close to nature," occasional no hot water, then this place is wonderful. Santa Cruz is a small town on Lake Atitlan so if you are looking for a respite away from the noise, this is definitely the place for you. There are a few options for food nearby but they tend to be slightly more expensive than other Guatemalan prices. For example, a 3 course meal in Santa Cruz is about $12/Q100.

  Beautiful eco hotel directly located at the lake with great view of the volcano, owned by a lovely German/Austrian couple, very nice employees, I used to work there for a month and meet very nice people from around the world

  My favorite place to stay at Lake Atitlan. There is really nothing to do here but enjoy the view, talk to other travelers and wait for family style dinner. I am happier here than anywhere else on planet earth.
