A delightful little chapel up in the hills in the Pedregales park - this itself is well worth visiting for a very pleasant stroll with magnificent views down to the coast.
The chapel comes into its own when they have the romeria - pilgrimage - in early May, just before the 5-day Feria of San Isidro, the ploughman saint and thus the patron saint of farmers.
People decorate wagons as farm cottages, and pull them either by ox, by tractor, or nowadays more often by a 4x4, from the town up to the Ermita here in the park. they dress up in Country Folk clothes - basically red neckerchiefs, and come for a barbecue, dancing and general jollifications.
Great fun is had by all!
