I was here several times over the last 3 years and it was always fabulous!
Food (fish or seafood of course) was excellent. Nice seating ( if you get a seat st the sea side) but also inside, classic, spanish, nothing overdoing no chi-chi.

A restaurant serving fish mainly, and generally well-cooked fish. It's called El Trasmallo de Agustino after the former owner Augustin, although for the last 6 or 8 years the owner has been Antonio.
Sited just off the main road from Sotogrande to Estepona, almost at the very end of Torre Guadiaro, just before the two tower blocks, its major problem is the lack of parking. Here are three possibilities:
Parking Tip 1 : if you are very, very lucky, there will space on the curved parking place on the roundabout just outside El Trasmallo. That's the best place to be.
Parking Tip 2: Drive past the restaurant towards Estepona, and immediately after the two tower blocks, turn right into a rough parking area. Second best place! 2 minutes walk back to the restaurant.
Parking Tip 3. So you've been unlucky . . . drive almost all the way back to Sotogrande and turn into the Playa de Sotogrande carpark. You now have a 8-10 minute walk to the restaurant. :-)
The restaurant has 4 seating areas.
Area 1: the outdoors terrace on the pavement. Not my favourite place to sit as you are knee-to-nose with the traffic on the road. Noisy, polluted. So unless you absolutely MUST have a cigarette, you may care to avoid this.
Area 2: the bar area. Here is a bar to lean on or sit by, plus half-a-dozen plastic tables where you can sit and get served what the Spanish call Raciones and foreigners call Tapas. Simple servings of fresh fish and seafood in the main - the same as is served outside on the pavement, by the way.
It's rather noisy in the bar I find, as the sound seems to ricochet off the walls and ceiling. But best value place to eat if you are used to noise.
Area 3: the restaurant area. At the end of the bar you move into an area of relative calm, with cloth tablecloths and a wider menu choice. At wider prices, of course! The tables at the side look out onto the little beach with a fishing boat or two pulled up.
Area 4: the dining room terrace. This is glassed in so the windows can be open or shut, depending on the time of year. To get seated here you need to reserve most days, as it's considered the Prime Position because it juts out over the sea. It's actually a bit cramped, I think, as they have packed in as many tables as possible.
The food is generally good, although you can wait a while when they are busy. Standard Malaga-Cadiz province fish dishes, with the Sotogrande Extra Charge on top. :-)
Personally, I think you'd do better to drive another 10 minutes to Estepona if you want good fish at reasonable prices, and eat in La Escollera right next to the fish wholesale market where they land the catch.

Fresh tasty tapas . Order the Coquinas only place I know where to get them 😁 really nice place 8/10 well priced.
