I enjoyed a fantastic lunch, accompanied by wines selected by the served that perfectly complemented offer meal. The cheesecake with the tomato confiture was an absolute delight and a must for finishing off a perfect meal. The decor is authentically on the kitchy side, but very interesting and really makes the atmosphere of the place.

A must for local food lovers. Is kind of of the beaten track, but close to Comandante Zorita, a street which is becoming very interesting on the nice and good restaurants track. Not very far away from the Castellana, El Quinto Vino is a small taberna, offering delicious home made food, including snails, cecina, meatballs, or eggplants with salmorejo. It's very popular, so if you want to try it, book in advance. If not, stay at the counter to sample a ración of its famous croquettes, considered among the best of the city. Ideal for the "aperitivo", it also offers a very good days menu for 12€
