  Meh. Supposedly a famous place where food is exceptional. I didn't find it so. Also too dirty, even considering that Spanish diners tend to litter thir own floors to look busier. Overworked and unwelcoming staff.

  Dirty, horrible place with fast but ignorant service and priced through the roof even for city centre prices. The waiter literally scratched his genitals right infront of me seconds after placing my plate infront of me.

  Sitting at the bar here with a beer and a bocadillo de calamares is a good experience overall, but the price is a little steep and I don't feel it's reputation is really deserved - resting on their laurels a bit I think.

  One of the best Bocadillos de Calamares (fried squid sandwich) in town always together with cold tap beer. Also you can get a good octopus with paprika! A must try if you are around Atocha/ Queen Sofia Museum

  I love this place. Eat whatever tapas from 6:30am to midnight. Fun crew and absolutely authentic. This is Spain at its best!

  It is located a few minutes away from the Museo Reina Sofía so I visited whilst waiting for the museum to open. I ordered churros and a cappuccino, both of which were nothing spectacular. If you're in the area and need to kill some time, it's not awful. Having said that, it seemed to be very busy so it's definitely popular with the locals.

  Local, traditional food. Very interesting place, good prices. A must is the "bocadillo de calamares* and "churros con chocolate"

  Typical bar that hasn't changed in over 50years. Except for the price that keeps increasing, but quality isn't.
  Good for trying it once and marking it on your to-do list but that's it.
  You'll be lucky to come in winter and not to leave with a flu. Dirty is one thing. A different thing is a waiter coughing on your food.
