Don't let the nice pictures fool you! If you are looking for a nice place to stay in the Costa Brava just look for another hotel!:
Waited in line for 40min to check-in.
Mustiness in the room, and the first stank of cigarettes.
Queen size bed? Sure, they put two individual beds together.
Cold jacuzzi and saunas that need maintenance.
Hotel's architect was definately inspired by mazes.
Check-in is at 3pm, the same time their restaurant closes, and there are no options to eat until 7:30pm.
Want to go to the pool area or spa? You need to go out of the hotel and then back in (take a map)
The hotel in general needs maintenance.
You need to know that there is no a la carte restaurant.
Looking for a romantic weekend with your significant other? This is NOT the place to be

Simply amazing. Great food, friendly staff, good rooms and the most impressive views.

Nice "Vintage" hotel with a perfect location and good installations. The rooms are big enough to be comfortable even the furniture is not modern. The swimming poll is big with a lot of free sunbeds surrounding it and great views of the sea. Doing the diving activity in the hotel bay is something you shouldn't miss.

Room is good, AC is welcome! The restaurant has great grilled fish, well worth the boning effort. A little difficult to navigate at first but loads of facilities and the staff are helpful.

The hotel is old fashion. The rooms with views are good, but be aware to avoid the other room, because there's some humidity in the rooms.

Amazing place. Not very modern but thats a good thing its keeping its original charm. Hotel and spa kind of a resort, you can spend your entire stay here in the hotel, it has an extensive outdoor so many places to enjoy around the hotel. Only one restaurant haven't eaten from here besides the breakfast which was really good so not going to comment. Lots to do in town which is just as beautiful and serine. A very relaxing place if you want peace and quite. I came in end of may, not sure whats it like when busy.

I have to say I've got a sweet spot for this place. The quality is reasonable and price is OK as well. Do not get fooled by the 4* rating - they play very loose go with the grades here at Costa Brava. I would say 2* by international standards.
