Extremly impolite and unfriendly staff, especially the owner. Refused to serve us because we wore shorts?! Just turned around all the good vibes we had from this besutiful city! People avoid this bar

I haven't seen any review from a local person. Wondering why! Website: zero usability. I haven't had any guts to order because what I have read from the folks below my review.

I wish that this bar could be voted zero stars. The service is horrific and the drinks are un-drinkable. What leaves a worse taste in the mouth however is the price. They literally rob you blind. We were charged €54 for 3 gin and tonics, and the manager could do nothing but smile. When I complained the staff just laughed and the owner refused to refund the money when I told him we no longer wanted the drinks. I am sure that the drinks companies who own the spirits they sell would be disgusted at what they are charging for thier brands. I can only hope that this bar is shut down and the owners banned from opening another, before they abuse anyone else. Whatever you do, when you visit the beautiful San Sebastián, DO NOT go to this bar. There are many others that will give you the service that is expected of a decent drinking establishment.

1 star review, and that's because I don't think I can leave a zero!

So, we stopped into Dickens on our first night in San Sebastian - Donostia. What a mistake that was! All night we'd had reasonably priced food and drink and why would we expect any different in Dickens?

Well prepare to be ripped off folks - some of you might think that €36 is acceptable for 2 gintonics and some stale crisps but no, that"s wrong, nowhere else will charge that, it's just somewhere that likes to scam tourists, simple as that - avoid like the plague!!

If I worked here, I'd be embarrassed, there are penty other bars in town so work must be readily available, I"d resign I really would..
