I have no idea why people give this clinic such bad ratings. I have been twice, the last time an hour ago, and had great service both times. The receptionist was polite and spoke reasonable English. I only waited five minutes to see the doctor who quickly took a history and did some tests. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and the price was half the price of the government clinic in Benicassim. Don't be put off by the stupid reviews.

The front desk employee is extremely rude and moody and does not speak a word of English (although many of their patients does not speak fluent Spanish in the touristy Arenal).
I came for a simple covid antigen test. Their test certificate is only in Spanish and will not be accepted to fly past Madrid. When making my appointment, I specifically asked for the certificate to be printed in English and to show my passport number. She confirmed it will be done as requested. But in the end, she pulled the wrong passport number and the certificate was not printed in English. She refused to redo it properly and made nasty comments when I was leaving.
Also, their website wrongly advertised that walk-ins are accepted without appointment. This is not accurate, I had to make an appointment. No big deal but the website should be updated.
Again, all this was just for a simple covid test. I had to go get tested again at another clinic. I will not come back here ever again for any medical need.response / report this review -

My husband and I had antigen tests which we booked in person a few days' in advance. No queues, arrived a bit early and were seen promptly. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, test results in 15 minutes. Would recommend.

At 5-15pm 15/06/2021 I rang Clinica San Carlos, Javea to make an appointment to see a specialist. I endured the electronic music and the constant announcements that the operators were busy. After EIGHT minutes the phone was answered. I told them what I wanted and the operator, somewhat curtly told me I couldn’t make the appointment and would have to ring the specialist’s office. The phone then cut off. I rang again and after 5 minutes it was answered and immediately the phone was put down. It’s a wonderful way to run a business, courteous and considerate customer service. I have read other reviews about this clinic and wonder what excuse they will come up with You will note I have given this clinic one starI had to do this to get access to this..they deserve no stars.

Substandard care and unnecessary test. I’m a dental specialist and a former assistant professor, in public health. I have worked and collaborated in some of the most prestigious health care facilities in the world, so I know what quality of care is and evidence based practice. I’m being treated by an incompetent health professional at this clinic for a disease I do not have and my chief complaint is not being addressed. Furthermore they are billing my insurance for this dubious treatment. Even their own radiologist’s report is clear that I don’t have the disease I’m being treated for.
I have forwarded their tests to multiple doctors in the US and Ireland, including a current Professor in Orthopaedics at Jacksonville (US). Each of these doctors are in agreement, I don’t have the disease that I’m being treated for and I’m receiving inappropriate treatment.response / report this review
