  A great castle to visit and explore. Only 1.20 each for pensioners, but make sure you can walk well. Nice restaurant and bar.

  Enchanting place to visit. I suggest to reach the castle through the path from the cityit's about 30 mins by walk but the view is amazing. When you are on the top, stop for a break to the restaurant and try the craft beers made in Valencia!

  Beautiful place very hidden from the road but a must if visiting the area. Fantastic views from the top full of history, info written in most languages. Great castle glad we found it.

  Beautiful castle with amazing views. However, the walk to it will leave you a broken man/woman. Your feet and your ankles will beg you for mercy. It a god-send that they sell bottled water here for one euro. It may seem pricey but you will need it by the time you get here.
  
  Castillo de Xàtiva is the place to be if you like mediaeval fridges and caves with Jesus idols in them (the walk up is at least)

  Amazing view and great atmosphere. It's free of charge on Tuesday afternoon. I went up to the top on foot but I recommend to take a bus or go by car especially in summer.

  It's a lovely walk to the castle from the town, and it sometimes felt like a pilgrimage as you gradually passed different sections of the castle until you finally reached the fortress at the top. Incredible views of the surrounding region and adequate facilities for those wishing to get a bite to eat or in need of a toilet break. A small fee of around €2 is needed to access one half of the castle, however the rest of it is free to explore. Definitely worth it. There's also a tourist bus runs that regularly to and from the castle.

  If you can, pick a sunny day for your visit - the view is really amazing and lets you appreciate the castle's strategic importance during its days in service.
  From the town the castle looks truly spectacular with its buildings and walls covering most of the mountain ridge. Illuminated at night this is impression is even multiplied.
  If you are healthy and have two legs you should park your car at the foot of the hill and make the short walk up the hill. Approaching the castle it becomes a bit clearer that not all (or actually not much) of what you see from the valley is really original and old.
  Much rebuilding has gone into reconstructing the walls and some buildings - it is understandable but somehow I felt a bit deceived :-)
  The entry fee was 2,40 and very fair. The walk up and around the Major Castle took a bit over an hour - mostly because we were marvelling the view from the various lookout points.
  The Minor Castle took only half an hour or less - there is not much to see except (again) the views.
  Altogether absolutely worth a visit especially if you have kids. There is a picnic area inside the castle if you bring your own stuff.

  Great views from the top. Awesome location. It's possible to drive all the way up to the castle.
