We've stayed at Casa La Siesta a couple of times now, and it's fair to say that it's my favourite hotel in the whole world. (Ever.)

Why? Firstly because of the beautiful premises and interiors (using reclaimed materials from antique tiles to beautiful stone and brick and huge wooden beams in the sitting room). Then there's the gorgeous setting: surrounded by nothing but rolling hills. The food's delicious, the staff are lovely, the rooms are huge and luxurious, there's a heavy emphasis on health and wellbeing (but not in a boring, po-faced way). Oh, and they've just introduced a horse refuge and horsemanship centre - which is wonderful, too.

It's not a hotel - nothing about it feels hotel-like. It's getting to hang out, and make yourself entirely at home, in a beautiful country house in the south of Spain for a while.
