The campsite is beautiful and very convenient to the beach. However if upu have small childten and are ealking, it is located approximately 1st from the outskirts of town. However there is lots to do and a good restaurant and bar on site. Would love to return here.

A bit annoying always to walk up the hill but sometimes there drives a little train up. Nice little supermarket and a good beach at the camp

Big camping place, with a lot of facilities and good service. Located to the beach. Big camping plots.

Supermarket does not accept cards and atm takes 1.5€, but they have a decent inventory, at a reasonable price for a camping.

childhood memories. Dad was a soldier, stationed in Germany in 1965 when I was 10 years old. He drove down through Germany, then France. I remember the journey in our car with camping gear in a trailer. A huge adventure. Roca Grossa was amazing. We had freedom to roam and the site is safe. There was a fountain coming out of a rock with a lion's head carved on it. A tub of 'chupa chups' lollies on a counter in the bar/shop. I learned to play table football. I am an old lady now but I remember the smell, the heat, the sound of crickets, the echoing noise going under the road to the beach.
One word of warning though. The beach slopes sharply. I was 10 years old, couldn't swim and nearly drowned. I remember the terror I felt and helplessness, so parents, watch your kids.
If I could, I would come back to visit. My parents enjoyed it so much that 20 years later, they bought a home in Spain and lived there.
Roca Grossa is a great family site, and the local town Calella has all you need. It's an international campsite too so your kids get a chance to make friends with kids of all nationalities.

The location is outstanding, the beach is 100 metres away of the camping. The bungalows are quite small but contains everything you need. There is a swimming pool but it's always busy over there, a tennis field and ping pong tables. There is a restaurant located close to the reception which serves pretty good food. The Wi-Fi isn't free but works very well. The only downside is, is that it is located on a hill if you want to go to the beach you have to walk from the top of the hill to the end of the hill. There is a train which rides to the beach and back but it's always full. If you want to go back to your bungalow you have to climb the hill with 28 degrees. It's not fun, Overall it's a good camping and close to other towns.
