Don't know about the others in town, but this one seems great. There are a handful in town.

There are 3 or 4 Roast Chicken shops within 5 minutes walk from our home. This is far and away the best of the lot.
For starters, it has longer opening hours (not sure exactly what they are, mind you), by which i mean mainly that it opens for lunch and in the evening; some of the others are either/or, not both. And it also opens 7 days a week, feast days and bank holidays included.
They sell enormous numbers of chickens; I asked one day and was told they had already sold over 100 by late lunchtime. So what you get is always freshly cooked, not hanging around for ages. The chips too are almost always cooked to order (you have to wait a few minutes), right in front of your eyes. The chicken wings and croquetas are great too - also cooked to order.
They sell various extras - bread, sauces, crisps, ice-creams - the Vienetta type. So if you have unexpected guests, you can pop into here and feed them all.
The main man is Oscar - that's the slim fair-haired young man; his (darker-haired) brother is often here too. they work hard, but always with a smile and a cheerful greeting for the customers. They are an additional reason that this is the best roast chicken shop!
Can'y wait for the next time I come here . . .

Buenos pollos, buenas patatas, también venden refrescos, salsas, pan y helados.
Y buen servicio - esos pobres están sudando del calor de los hornos, pero siempre sonrientes.
