Just down from the Carrefour Express on the Avenida Juan Carlos I is this roast chicken shop.
It has spits with chickens turning and turning and sending the most delicious aromas into the street. Difficult to pass by without sniffing expectantly.
It also sells other things you might need for your meal. Chips, obviously, bread, soft drinks, sauces. They will fry chicken wings and croquettes for you too. I prefer the roast chicken to their croquettes, actually.
Chickens are ready to come off the spit from about 12.45. Any earlier and you'll have to hang around and wait. They stop serving at 3pm, but you'll be lucky to get anything from 2.30 onwards unless you have rung up or called in earlier to order one.
No evening service - for evening chickens you'll have to go up the road and turn right at the roundabout to the Asador de pollos La Buena Fama.
