Hiking up to see the views is worth it and free. The English tour was completely unintelligible. At 5euro per person, the Abbey could well afford to invest in a guide that actually speaks English.

Very serene place. The caves are a good experience, whole tour would take maybe 30-45mins. I feel like the place has a rich history but was toned down as the tour guide was a bit non fluent with English.

We walked from the old city to here and it is a great walk through Sacromonte via the cave houses. They have tours of Abadia del Sacromonte in different languages with the English speaking tour at 2pm so it is well worth calling ahead so that you can time your tour to fit with your language. The tour takes one hour and starts at the catacombs then through the church and out through the courtyard. In my opinion the catacombs was the best part but the collection of books was also interesting. Highly recommended

Simply stunning! The view is unbelievable with the Sierra Nevada in the background, gorgeous nature, peaceful and well look after. You can get there with a bus very easily from the city centre, with your car that can be parked just outside or if you prefer 10 thousands steps from the Alhambra gates ( not a smart move, my feets are kinda dead, trust me!). The guide took us for an 1h tour of the Abbey for a 5? per person, money goes to keep those treasure inside in good state. Strongly recommend a visit, you won't regret it!

The one star is not because the Abbey is not interesting but for the most unpleasant guide who told us that this is not for foreigners but for locals after I asked her if it was possible to translate some things in English. One of the fellow visitors was kind enough to give us some explanation so it was not a total waste of a trip. Be warned though if you are not Spanish the Abbey takes a dim view

Its an uphill hike to get here Important to know that the tour inside the abby is only in Spanish and so non-Spanish speakers miss quite a bit of info. Entrance is 4€ (it doesn't say so at the door). The visit is short (about 30 min.) and feels a bit rushed. The view is beautiful and the place is interesting but if they had an English language tour it would have made a big difference. Lastly, occasional buses from Plaza Nueva go all the way up the hill and make sense to seek on hot days. Bottom line: nice but not a must.

Una referencia histórica para entender la vida de la granada original lastima que toda la historia la escriben los que ganan y exageran sus triunfos y utilizan las referencias históricas para apoyar sus ideas en detrimento de las demás.. es parte de esta humanidad.

La verdad, es un lugar imprescindible de visitar en Granada. Un lugar bellísimo y único. Lo malo es que la visita guiada (que es la única manera de ingresar) es demasiado apresurada (20 minutos) y no permite apreciar adecuadamente tan hermoso sitio.

I really enjoyed the visit. Delightful guide who took her time to explain in detail the history of the Abbey. Very lucky to be a small group of just my wife and myself do it was very personal. Really glad I went. The caves were highlight. Will certainly visit again especially to see how visitors' centre progresses.

Piecefull monastery with a wonderful view on Granada and the old city. In the evening you have an awesome sunset. You can just hike all the way up here. On certain times you can have a tour in the monastery.
