Nakfa Mosque

  There are two colleges in Nakfa: Onen is called Tsabra and the other one is called Winna. Tsabra is a sprawling campus housing a junior college. Winna is a smaller campus teaching engineering subjects. The teachers of the school are mostly Eritreans with a small number coming from India. The school has one cafeteria and several scattered buildlngs.
  Nakfa or Nacfa is a historic village of Eritrea in northern Africa. The country got independence because of the heroic resistance in Nakfa village. So the currency of the country is also called 'Nakfa'. Nakfa village is on a mountain near Keren town. Buses run only on a weekly basis. Taxis are available and you have to go for a four-wheel-drive variety. There is a lodge on top of the mountain which is called "Hotel Nakfa Apollo". Food is available on order. The Nakfa square is very cute with the government office on one side and alittle mosque on the other side. There are numerous tiny shops selling coffee, vegetables and mutton fry.
