An Egyptian national shame and disgrace. Electronic information boards showing wrong train information; "correct" Cairo train schedules printed on 1 sheet of A4 paper and taped to a poster board next to ticket windows. Poor or non-existent signage showing track numbers, train numbers or destinations. Escalators not working. "I could not care less!" staff looking miserable behind glass, unwilling to listen or provide ANY useful information. No English - or any foreign language - information of any kind.

Advice: If a 1st time traveler, arrive at least 1 hour prior to your departure - as the train schedules shown on EG Rail website have only a weak link to reality. There are 4 tracks; as best I can determine, all Cairo trains leave from track 3.

2 years ago The government spent millions of $$$ to renovate the station and at no time the station ran down to the gutter the security surveillance who are checking luggage not paying attention screening luggage!! I even brought the attention to another security employee and he apologize to me, the seats are broken the escalator not working and the station is dirty services is very poor maintenance to the station doesn't exist.
Please keep better maintenance to the station and have better care and be proud of our property. Some trains are great and others ran down

Very crowded and not organized, not enough sitting places. Almost no service either from desks or clerks. But overall not bad

Is amazing train station even better than Cairo train station. You can have nice restaurant, nice cafe and wonderful supermarket fathala ! Cheap and full of options if you forget something also near there is a GAD traditional restaurant is so good !

i like this place, it has a renovated Hall, uses electronic means to show data, and there are several counters to book a ticket.

After the renovation the station is now alot better than before, better seats for the waiting you can walk just sit in a clean seats and place ( 2nd and 3rd floor ) or go for indoor cafe or restaurant,i guess fathalla has opened on the 3rd floor and the security service for a some extent is good
