  It is a beautiful cathedral. It's unfortunate that it doesn't get more publicity so that foreigners to the Coptic Church can come and visit. The architectures of Coptic Cathedrals (and churches for that matter) are unlike anything I've seen anywhere else on the planet. The beauty and magnificence rivals that of any European Cathedral.
  
  In addition to it's beauty, it is quiet and and offers a place of quiet and prayer. There is also an opportunity to see the burial place of St. Mark the Apostle (1 of 2; the second place being in Venice).
