Qarun Lake is one of the largest lakes in Egypt, but before you visit you must know why you want to go. If you want to go bird watching, make sure you go in the right season (around October to March) or you'll be out of luck. It's also useful to have a local bird watching guide because they'd know all the spots to see the birds. They're quite experienced so if you tell them what birds exactly you want to see they'll guide you to the right spots (don't miss the flamengoes)
Sadly, the lake isn't clean or well-maintained though so there isn't much else to see or do there.response / report this review -

Very calm place and wide lake .. good for relaxation even you took a boat or spend your time beside the lake .. you can take a hours too.
