  I was applying for a visa, 2016. and I had a very bad experience from Day 1. most of the Egyptians working there are not treating applicants well.

  The place is wonderful, once you get in you feel that you are in Germany
  The only comment i have here is the queues outside where people have to stand in line like the traditional way.
  If the queues were numbered as inside then it would be perfect for everyone but the staff are awesome and helpful 👍🏻

  My friend "RL" went here for German passport renewal and German ID card it was straight forward and very efficient (on appointment system only booked online) He did however have everything that was required (copies, exact biometric photos, money in EGP see website) Staff speak English, German or Arabic and also smile and have a sense of humour.. It's highly recommended that if your coming outside Cairo you book a place to stay in Zamalek so you can get to the appointment on time as traffic is a nightmare. Taxi from the airport is about 120EGP. TNT courier service is next to the embassy. Service, efficiency 5 star but make sure you have everything in place BEFORE you get there and only take a small shoulder bag as there is nowhere to place luggage. Apparently the express service takes "10 days" and ID card (or non express) takes 4 - 6 weeks. My friend RL was expecting the worst, but he got the best. If someone has had a bad experience I expect its because they did not have the required documents / copies / photo or completed application. NOTE: Mobile phones are placed inside a locker, so if you need to keep track of time take a wrist watch because there are no visible clocks. THANK YOU German Embassy!!!

  Very rude employees and unfriendly. Even more A student brought her friends to finish their papers out of order. Simply coz she knows the employee. Very bad image for germany
