  An excellent stop to begin your exploration of Islamic Cairo. Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque and the Gayer Anderson house are about a 20 minute walk away. Local taxis work fine from here as well for getting to other sites. My favourite all day walk is from this metro stop all the way to the other end of Khan el Khalili.
