Nice cozy traditional Egyptian cafe that sells beer as well, good if you wanna grab a local beer and get a taste of the common Egyptian cafe .. not Starbucks style ones. Not air conditioned, not fancy or luxurious.

Beer is served. The place is usually very crowded and noisy. The staff isn't the best but the people is going there are normally nice and intellectual.

Average cafe, nothing deserve mentioning. Old place with local style and serves beers which makes it different than the other local cafes. I don't recommend it!

Good beer, low prices and friendly people. Can get very crowded. You can bring your own food. You pay for any bottle on your table - so never chose a table with bottles on it.

A nice place to meet with up your friends and others too.
Loud, and noisy, but the atmosphere is so great, no one is going to bother you any how.
Waiters aren't so friendly, and kinda lazy sometimes.
Over pricy these days, but im going to rate it as one of the best local bars in the downtown.

A must be place! Old egyptian climate. They serve hot drinks in an open part, and alcohol in the one more closed (people from the street can't see you're drinking alcohol). If You sit in the "alco part" the'll serve beer without asking. You pay for each empty bottle on your table. You can bring your own food (it's next to egyptian fastfood gad) alor buy chips from the news agent standing next to Horreya. The name of the place means freedom. This is the place when revolutionist before tahrir in 2011 met. No photo allowed (still it's a place for some meetings). One of my favourite pkaces in Cairo! If You dobt like the smoke, not even try, absolutely everybody smokes here.
