Quiet . Tidy. Clean. Moderate collection.
One isn't allowed to visit the whole palace. Just a small part.
Still very beautiful with wonderful gardens.

The building is being used for government office and hence no visitors are allowed inside. One can only view the palace from outside. No tourists were also not seen around the palace

A marvelous set of shows & museums in the era of the royalty in Egypt that enriches the historical information concerning their way of living & ruling the country.
Must be seen to be educated & educate our kids.

Today I visited the museum. It was very hot but I was looking forward to go . There was a big group of international ambassadors headed to the museum at the same day without my prior knowledge but I managed to visit the palace and even meet the Governer of Cairo and some generals and even the Pakistani and Chinese ambassador. It was an amazing experience to be honest with you and I got good pictures of the charming place. The workers are nice and friendly to me and my family. I would recommend this place to antique lovers only as they will be interested

That was the least worth place to visit in Egypt, and relatively expensive regarding to other places with less value. Strange guns everywhere, not really interesting to a european who have seen war museum in Paris or London. Garden was good, but the guard was there, so you were not able to walk around. Overall if your way is going to old Cairo to see the beautiful mosque, you can enter. If you are just planning to directly go there, i would advise to miss it, and save your time for something else. Anyway i have seen the whole Cairo within less than two days. This palace is not too special place.

Very Nice place to visit, you need just to prepare yourself with some informations about the Mohamed Ali Family to better understand the history of the place. Unfortunately you can't have access to the 2nd floor where there is the real palace.

I visited a while ago. It's impressive with all this monarchy weapons and behold. It's not always open so you need to check.
