  كنيسة الملاك ميخائيل ببي العرب تعتبر من الكنائس القديمة ويرجع تاريخها الي القرن الثامن عشر وقد تم تجديدها في اواخر القرن التاسع عشر وبدايات القرن العشرين لكي تصبح كاتدرائية , و القمص سمعان عبد الملك كان كاهنا علي هذة الكنيسة .. ويقام كل سنة عيد للملاك يوم ١٨/٦ ويحضرة الكثير من جميع البلاد والمحافظات المجاورة لياخذوا بركة الملاك ميخائيل ..

  Hi all my name is George Ramzi Salib and this was the church my family that use to live in Bayy El Arab at the time , as my late father use to be a teacher in Alexandria but on every school holiday he use to take me with him as a young lad to see his family ( my uncles and one aunt plus 15 cousinz ) who most of were still living near this blessed church , I vividly remember as a young nine or ten years old boy who had the energy and the vitality of five children my age One sunday as the prayers was servicing I wondered alone to the bell tour and somehow I managed jump on the rope and rang the bell in the middle of the church service and knowing that what I've done will get me in trouble with my father I ran down the timber stairs and fell 3 time till I got out of the building before any one realizes who rang the bell I was a little devil in a small and peaceful little town , this church is a blessed place of worship God bless
