We had a lovely two night stay at the hotel and SPA. The room was beautiful and clean, bed comfortable.
Spa itself was not very exciting with only one pool that wasn't meant specifically for children, but the four hot-tubs and Japanese bath made up for it. I really liked the saunas, especially the juniper sauna, it had a nice mild temperature of 70 degrees and smelled so good. The Finnish sauna felt like a sauna should, I believe it was heated (at least during the sauna ritual) with real firewood and thanks to that there was no dry heat feeling SPA saunas usally have. Steam room smelled lovely as well. The music was very relaxing.
There was an odd "relaxation world" downstairs from the sauna area which only had a few chairs and a sandbox for children.
We did not visit the salt world.
Our package included dinner in the restaurant Joice and breakfast. Both meals were very good and the service very proffecional.
Great spa and accomondation. Good breakfast. Very city location. 5 min by foot to city hall.
Okay for Tartu, wouldn't stay in a place like this in a bigger city. Very overcrowded, especially at the spa and spa bar service was unfriendly. It's pretty and clean though.
Clean and beautiful hotel. Modern interior design, that looks exclusive. Personal was very polite, friendly and helpful. Spa with different relaxation opportunities - pool, saunas, jacuzzi, bar etc. Suitable for romantic couple and family with kids. Great place. Recommending it!
Nice and stylish new hotel in the commercial centre of Tartu. Polite staff.
Just spent 6 nights at this place. It was incredible! The Spa is the main attraction with a most impressive facility that is clean and exciting (I've heard it only opened last year!). Really exceeded by expectations. I should add that the food in the restaurant is surprisingly sophisticated for hotel cuisine and can compete with most fine dining restaurants. I had a couple of meals there, and the breakfast was great too (aside from the orange juice which was a bit weak). I should add the servers at the breakfast are extremely courteous and attentive. Particularly the server Marcus comes to mind who remarkably remembered myself and my colleagues' room number from the start and offered an attentive and warm welcome to every meal. Much recommended!
No view from room we stayed in. Have to pay for the Salt world and the Sauna world extra even thogh you paid for access to the spa itself.
A really good spa with many saunas and different pools to choose from
Perfect place for family vacation or business meeting. Great location, nice staff
In the centre of Tartu in shopping mall Kvartal you can find hotel and spa with best selection of saunas in Tartu.
Hotel interior is awesome and worth 5 stars, but there are those little things that made our stay appalling. First we were not able to find the reception from the parking lot. Staff is somewhat ok, usual Estonian service, nothing worth to mention. Minibar in the room is the most expensive I've seen so far and I've been to 4 star hotels in Barcelona old town where prices were decent. For 0,33l Saku Kuld they ask 7€ - wow. It was very pleasant to find an iron and the board in our room, BUT, the board was broken. Hotel restaurant Joyce was very delicious, 5 points. Breakfast is ok, only one guy from breakfast staff was top notch giving us hello's etc, rest of the staff is regular Estonian service. This one guy will make it to the top in the future for sure, made me feel like in Barcelona again.
SPA - is very ok, saunas are awesome, best selection I've seen so far, same goes with the salt saunas. The main pool is nothing special, crappy fountain with some china led's, plenty of bubble baths though. There was a some sort of duck canal which we didn't understand how it works. Kids pool was great. The bar at the pool was appalling, prices were quite high (this 0,33 Saku Kuld cost 3,5€), service was non existent. I do not understand why they don't want to increase the sales in those bars with such high prices. There are so many things that could be done better. In this case I understand that staff is totally underpaid, not motivated and sales volume is not that important as it will be profitable anyway. Only thing they don't get is the good experiece for the customers and resulting with this bad review.
Finally, for checkout there was a 15 minute queue. Who doesn't hate that?
Creepy, smells and empty
Good bath though
Visited the spa half of it. After waiting half an hour in the queue it turned out we had to go to a different floor. I called to there couple of days before just to ask if they were open and if it was normal pricing or weekend because it was a bank holiday but monday. They said it would be normal weekday prices. On arrival there they did charge weekend price. After getting our keys the lockers didn't work and when asking the staff there they pretty much started to blame us The spa itself was nice looking but rather disappointing: saunas were cold, no salt in saltroom, slippery, not enough singage and make sure that in the spiral pool you keep away from the edges. The jets WILL take your skin off.
Opened 1 week ago, still finalizing its setup. Good location and promising facility, friendly service.
