Great value for money! Lots of exotic animals. Also really nice to see they was in good condition and the has mostly enough space. Beats Helsinki Zoo 6-0.

We enjoyed our visit today. The polar bear and elephant enclosures are brilliant. Many of the other exhibits are good. As British visitors we would have welcomed more consistent provision of English translations. We enjoyed the extensive walks through pleasant grounds - some visitors might find the distances to be walked too much. But overall very good value and plenty to interest all ages.

Love the new Polar Bear World - if you're lucky, you will see te bears close up through the glass. I hope the renovate the other parts of the zoo soon as well as most of it is quite dated, but I did like the Elephant House as well. Many indoor exhibits are closed on Mondays.

The zoo is average size with a typical collection. Their highlight is the polar bear family which seems to be very happy in their cage. The cage is well designed so we can observe the animal’s activities very up close and also from underwater. The rest of the zoo is pretty tired around the corner but animals seem to be well taken care of. There are also forest which is very beautiful in spring, zip line adventure, recreational park, picnic area, kids center, cafeteria.

A small zoo but most animals were not.visible there wasn't much interaction or English seem like it is for the locals. Animals also didn't look too well kept as hair was matted or pulled out I guess for them to make beds to stay warm. Pens and especially pools and aquariums were unclean . Didn't make me feel too good visiting wasn't very satisfied .

Lots to see, lots to do. Great with kids. Bears, birds, seals, elephants from all over the globe. Well organized structure, with tropical gardens.

Most of the animals have already nice new spaces to live and compared to other zoos it has plenty of space to expand and improve even further. Easy to access by public transport.

Great place to visit with family. New polarbear building is great. The area is huge, so take time. There is also small place to have your favourite junkfood or icecream. And the ticket is quite cheap too.

A very big zoo with a wide range of species, the new polar bear premise is fascinating.

Nice zoo with a large variety of animals. Some are still in small Soviet cages but the zoo is working on this. They are building a new polar bear enclosure and it looks like it'll be great. The baby rhino was very cute and their collection of goats is impressive. Beautiful tiger. We didn't see all animals as some were inside but that was to be expected.
There is a decent number of cafés but don't expect high quality food. It's just decent.
    Overall a great experience.

Very Nice zoo, the negative stuff was that not every animal where there to be seen at all. And some of the animals did't look very happy.
There could be more information about where to go and what was only for crew.

Other than that this was a great zoo.

Some parts of the zoo have been redone to quite nice but some are still original soviet area parts which are painful to watch.

Eating and snack places are open during summer season and they are not good. Take your own snacks and food with you

Although the overall experience was good, multiple animals (polarbears, brown bear) could not be seen. Cages near polarbear were in terrible shape and it was kind of sad to see. Also 2 seals had too little room and their pool seemed dirty.

Overall a really nice zoo but some caged should definitely be more modern. Occasionally it looks like a Soviet era zoo. Most of the place is fortunately renovated and animal friendly

One of the best options for a family trip in Tallinn. The zoo is huge, be prepared to spend more than 3 hours if you wish to see everything. They offer small carts so you can transport you children but on crowded days you may not found one available. Dont forget the map once you get there

Some animals have ridiculously small enclosures, and they look depressed. There is also plenty of unused space which they could expand to.

Quit big and has lots of animals. Some cages are still left from very long time ago, so they don't look nice, but most parts of the zoo look really nice. You can buy birds' food and feed water birds. They also have children zoo, with tiny goats and rabbits. Very cute.

Highly recommended. The modern enclosures are excellent. Some work to be done on the older ones. Lovely day out for the family. You can rent karts for a euro - handy if you have kids with you. Avoid the burger and chips in the cafeteria just inside the "zoo" bus stop entrance - they're crap!
