There's a lot here. You can 'have a go' on a variety of activities: we didn't manage to, those crashing planes ( adults) having another go and we were near the end of the day.
Not actually that many seaplanes , but plenty of boats and ships and a submarine to explore. Info in English, Estonian and Russian. Even the toilets have a naval theme.
Families would enjoy and there's history for those keener on that than boats.

Great museum to visit. Highly recommended. Not too boring with many things to touch, feel and explore. The safety area is specifically cool. Of course the submarine is one of the best place of the visit. The building itself is really cool and impressive and is worth the visit alone almost!

Absolutely brilliant place to visit. Great exhibitions, particularly the submarine and some brilliant boats and historical finds. Very interesting to see the modern items too. The ships you can explore outside are a huge plus and very good value

Very well thought out museum with lots of interactive displays. Great for kids and adults but be prepared to wait for some of the interactive exhibits such as the submarine simulator. A bit on the pricey side to get in but there are family tickets. Guide books in English and all the displays also have English explanations. Give yourself plenty of time here to get the most of it

Wonderful place for a family visit.
Even adults become kids here and enjoy the interactive activities
Reserve a day for this.
There are different levels to the museum. Underwater, above water.
There are about 40 audio visual explanations in various languages about various exhibits,
You can pilot a simulated ride in a real seaplane,
You can fire a real anti aircraft guns ( on a screen moving Target), you can see the insides of a real sub in detail,
You can draw a fish and colour and label it and see it swimming on a giant projection,. And much more.
You can see the inside of a real sub .and much more.

Wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Good stuff overall but the real star was an actual submarine you could go inside! Also there were ships docked at the back that you can also walk around inside. Had a great time!

This is one of the best museums I have ever been to. A great mixture of large exhibits (many of which, such as the submarine, you can enter) and interactive demonstrations of ocean processes. Well worth the walk (or bus) to get out to the museum.

Absolutely amazing museum - interactive exhibits and information in multiple languages. Cafe was also tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in military history, especially since you can go inside a submarine!

Behind the museum was an old icebreaker ship which you could visit and even go inside and down into the engine rooms.

If you are interested in marine life and ships, this is a place to visit. They have changing exhibitions. Kids will enjoy a submarine there.
Tickets may be pricey, but there are discounts

What a fantastic place! Photos don't do it justice due to the blue light and shiny floors. Very interesting exhibition and the entire submarine makes a tremendous impression. Make sure to explore the ships outside. The building itself is amazing.

Amazing interactive and informative museum. My top 4 things to do here: 1) go through a World War 2 submarine and get a feeling for the life on board 2) explore the ice breaker ship from 1914 3) take amazing historic photos in navy uniform in front of a green screen 4) immerse yourself into a VR tour through the different stages of construction of the Seaplane Harbour building and museum

It is worth going there. Don't miss it. They have a submarine that you can go inside. They have interactive stop where you can wear military clothes and stand inform the of a green screen and you can take a photo with a background you choose. They also have a nice restauraunt. They have ships also at the sea shore.

An excellent museum. We (2 adults) spent four hours here. The best exhibits are the submarine and historic steam-powered ice breaker, both of which you can look around inside. It's an easy 20 minute walk from the old town.

Great place to come with the kids. It has super interactive displays and the kids will love the real submarine that you can walk on top of. They have mostly boats but also planes and helicopters my only issue it's a little over priced for the inside at the back on the outside you will find old army boats that are free to climb on and explore so I would say if you don't have kids save yourself the money and go round the back to the boats.

First time in a sub. Thrilled by the technology of the late 30s. Must have taken quite some guts for the crew to run it. Congratulations for restoring the ship for future generations.
