Loved the decor! Such a fab setting underground. I had the elk stew which was nice but sadly a little dry. Prices were really good (main+dessert+Large beer=€20).dessert was an unusual Estonian dish, kind of like a purified porridge!! Service was nice, if a little slow at times. Definitely better than the tourist traps on the main streets and felt more authentic. Only reduced the stars for the food quality.

Really quite and lovely place.I tried the harring cream with black bread,stewed elk and the chocolate cake. I'm a chef but I really have no complaints.Also perfect for couple!

Warm, inviting, and ring your soul delicious. Whether solo or in a small group, this restaurant will deliver. Appreciate the ambiance, the humble, yet satisfying service and of course- traditional Estonian foods that seem to transport you. I think of the scene in Ratatouille when the critic tastes his food and the transcendent flavors bring him back to a memory of home.
I had the pork roast with fried potatoes, sauerkraut, mustard sauce and blood sausage. The meat was perfectly "melt in your mouth" tender and all things were a harmonious blend. I also had dessert to go - and yes- also worth it.
Finding a table around 2pm for lunch was easier than dinner time, though any time would be ideal here if you can get a seat.

Everything about this place was great. The food was excellent and we were given decent portions for the money so great value. The home baked bread was delicious and some of the best we had in Tallinn. The service was very friendly, the ambiance was perfect and overall made for a great experience. Highly recommended and we couldn't ask for more.

Delicious food made just like vanaema would, rest her soul this is a great cosey-homely restaurant abd connected to the theatre, so expect sudden crowds in between shown.

Lovely atmospheric place, quality of food was great. Price reasonable (3 courses plus a couple of beers and a coffee for 25euro).
