Great food, lovely interior, fast service, plenty of parking spots. Starters and main course dishes starting from €8, soups from €5. Look forward to visiting again.

Unfortunately had a bad experience from the place due to series of unfortunate events. It was a combination of bad food, bad luck and lacking professionality of handling difficult situations. The place present themselves as mid-high range restaurant, but at least that evening they did not really meet the expectations they have put on themselves. I truly think the place has potential to become a great place, but definitely not not that evening.
Short version:
The beef tartar of the place was worst I have ever had compared to countless of different restaurants - it was non-edible. Later got main coarse without any utensils. After 5 minutes without getting attention and a tool to eat the food, lost the last piece of good mood. Even though did not need to pay for the food in the end, we were not in the end treated with care, professionality and respect one would expect from a restaurant with that level.
Long version:
On a side note. It was not very busy in the main dining hall and thus the waitresses should have not been too stressed.
It all started by getting a 14 eur beef tartar which ended up being the worst I have ever had compared to countless of different restaurants - it was non-edible. I might be wrong here, but it felt they were trying to cover a bit older meat by over-marinating it. Really giving the credit for the waitress serving us, she agreed a tartar should not look like that and we should not be charged for it. Mood a bit ruined for not having a nice starter, but we still felt the situation was solved fairly. Next however - perhaps because of the stress of previous events - the waitress did not provide any forks and knives alongside with the main course. Trying to get attention from our busy waitress and waving to the other waiter walking around the hall, we failed. Only getting thumbs up from the waiter, but being ignored afterwards. Even though being as clear as possible that we want him to come to use, we found out later that he guessed we wanted a bill. Bad situational awareness.
Anyway, after waiting for 5 minutes while being hungry and not able to eat the food in front of us, our mood was totally ruined. Initially planned as a nice dinner on Saturday evening got spiced by skipping starter and not being able to eat the food in front of us. It made us internally emotional and we decided to approach the cashier to express politely (as much as possible with such a bad mood. Anyway not getting personal nor raising voice) our disappointment and intention to leave. They did not seem to express any remorse and even ridiculing the fact we wanted to leave just because we did not get utensils. Missing the point of the experience as a whole. After discussing for a while, the other waiter approached the stand and wished us with very sharp and impolite tone to have a good evening and just leave the place. Without paying.
In conclusion, the waitress was actually nice and pleasant, just only perhaps still needing a bit more experience and get seasoned on the very tough job. Good luck for her in future. The main culprit for the negative review however is actually the waiter, who also seemed to be senior in that place. Not working as a team, not having situational awareness and losing one's temper easily is something one is not expecting in a restaurant as such. It is natural that mistakes happen, however, as they pile up, the restaurant staff should understand the situation and address it professionally. At the moment the restaurant not only lost the money for the meal but also made a customer leave unhappy to spread a bad word. Unfortunate. With kind intentions in mind, saying that there are a lot of nice restaurants in Tallinn in the same price range to learn from. Like Rataskaevu, Kaks Kokka, Pegasus, Von Krahli Aed to name few.response / report this review -
