Very well kept, along with the museum and cafe is a very good experience, I would give it at least 2-3 hours.. so much history is there

Very cool place above the Old Town. You have to climb the steep stairs to the bar, which is quite nice. It would have great view over the city, if it wasn't for the trees in front.

We used to drink here when adolescent. Everyone did. Probably made a huge raucous too, but somehow the cops rarely frequented Really weird as it's a rather popular place with tourists.

This is a small garden area full of history. The legend says that Danish flag was born here. Danes were surrounded by Estonians and were in a losing stand when the leader of Danes asked help from God and red flag with white cross fell from heaven (or over the wall) distracting Estonians and helping Danes to use that to win.
There is a museum in one of the towers and cafe in another. Garden area itself has a nice view on lower part of Old Town. There are huge black iron sculptures of hooded figures there as well so do not be spooked when visiting in the dark.response / report this review -

Good view of the city, several histories and sculptures. A nice cafe upstairs in the wall. A must in the area. Go by the "short leg gate", the big wooden door is working and may be you need to push it.

The Danish King's Garden has a historic meaning for the danish flag - supposedly it was discovered here.
