Lovely to walk in during the warmer seasons. It is quite small so it's easy to fit in and the gardens are open until 20 in the summer. If you are with kids the take notice that there is a playground in one of the farther corners. You can have a great picnic there with the kids. Also - if you go with kids, then the greenhouse could be worth a visit - there are turtles, parrots, insect eating plants and other things to catch the attention of the kids.
Rose garden is in high bloom in July and August. The peonies are also a sight to see and smell in June-July (well the blooming time really depends on the year and how warm it is).response / report this review -

.Tartu's Botanical Gardens ~ many different moods depending on the time of the year, it's free and open every daywith a small Kids Play area and ducks & fish can be fed from the little bridge over the large outdoor pond. ..basic coffee & ice-cream can be purchased from the GreenhouseEnjoy! ~ : )

Outdoors is super beautiful walk and for free. Also there's nice kids playground outdoors. Indoors is paid but not expensive and I would say 4*. The 5* is for outdoors.

One of the interesting city botanical gardens I have ever seen. Variety of different plants and trees combined in a landscape from small ponds to humps. Very interesting to walk in the park it is worth of looking.

Beautiful oasis in the middle on Tartu. Most beautiful in the spring when everything is starting to bloom and go green. One of the best places just to walk and enjoy the beautiful weather. You can also have a picnic or play with children on the grass and playground area on the other side of the park.

Great place for walking, a beautiful garden with plenty of flowers and trees. There's a wonderful pond with fish and ducks. Inside there are palms and cactuses. There are also some turtles, they are really cute.

It's a sweet little botanical garden with a solid collection of plants. Quite well maintained (2016). Inside the greenhouse there's even an elevator to the upper level so that persons having trouble climbing stairs can still visit. In Summer 2016 we paid 3 € to enter the greenhouse, it's worth it. Park around it is lovely and free.
