On their website, they have Taimsed pitsad which is vegetarian pizza. Like "Margherita – mozzarella, kitsejuust, pitsakaste – 4,90€". But in the cafe there is no such thing in the menu. Only regular "Margherita – 6.70 €". I can live with this because I'm not really a vegetarian. Just FYI, for people who are.
In the cafe it says parim pizza eestis or something like this, which means the best pizza in Estonia, which it simply is not. It might be the best in Viljandi, because let's face it, Viljandi is a small town and there might be not so many pizza restaurants.
For the drinks, only coffee or bottle bears and ciders. For me this is unacceptable. Because when I pay a premium in the restaurant for a drink, I'd like it to be special. Not something you can buy 70% less in any local supermarket.
Finally let's get on to the pizza.
I ordered a margarita, as always, and as any real Italian would do when he goes to a new pizza restaurant and want to tell if it's good or not.
The dough is not baked nicely because outside it's not crispy and inside it's not soft not elastic not flexible. Edge too thin too. Italians make pizza differently. They don't offer you choices like thin or thick edge, some calls it Italian or American. They only make it the way they do and that is the only default choice. It's neither too thick nor too thin but you can tell the edge is quite different from the centre.
For the tomato, I thought it's not from fresh tomato but rather tomato source. This is okay but what's not okay is that it tastes too sour. Shut up I know tomato should taste sour, but I'm talking about the sourness you can only get from white vinegar, not the taste of tomato.
There should be a basil leaf on margarita but this one there isn't. Instead they put basil source, a lot, which ruins the flavour ratio.
All in all for a pizza I really don't give anything more than one star. But the waitress is quite nice so out of compassion I have to rate it as two stars.
At last, if you are in Estonia the best pizza you can find is in attimo in Tallinn. Some say there is a even better one which is Kaja Pizza köök, but I haven't visited it yet. I'll try this weekend and post a review later.response / report this review -

Best pizza in Viljandi as advertised and pancakes are really good as well. They also provide alterative to usual potato and meat dishes, for example vegetable wok and raw buckwheat with veggies.

Cafe has a great atmosphere and a fantastic menu. The menu has everything from appetizers to main courses. I would specially recommend the pizza menu since the ingredients they use are genuine and very inventive. Try a pizza with pesto or a sweet pizza. Service is very friendly and makes you feel like you are expected. At lunch time you do have to have a little more time than 30 minutes since it is a very popular and busy cafe so food might take a bit longer to arrive.
