One of my favorite experiences in Quito. The empanadas and salsa were exceptional, but even better was getting to spend over an hour with Alicia the owner, a truly delightful person. If you are in Quito learning Spanish, as I was, talking with Alicia was easily worth a day of lessons at school -she is so interesting, welcoming, and patient.

The owner is so nice! She can make some empanadas without meat and she really wants that you eat the best empanada de morocho ever.

The most delicious empanadas (vegetarian option) i have had in Ecuador! Plus really good salsas. And you don't even go there for food but for Alicia-the amazing owner of the place! She is super helpful, very cheerful and happy person who can talk with you about everything and anything for as long as you want/can ;) must visit when in Quito!
