If you don't want to stay in Atacames on your way back, Same is a good option and Villa Ana also. It consists on 1 or 2 rooms at the top of the house of his owner, Leo, who has a German Shepherd called Dan. The single room has a balcony, kitchen, breakfast table, bathroom and closet. The bed has a mosquito net and a fan on the side table. It is rustic style (wood everywhere), but clean and quiet. You might not like it if you need to avoid stairs, if you are allergic to dogs or if you expect watertight doors and windows. There is no safe box, but the door to the room has a grid and a big lock. Last but not least, Leo is a great host. He even helped us with information about the buses to go to Mompiche (picture attached) including the recommendation "Remember to take the ones that say 'Mompiche' in front, otherwise you'll have to do a bus transfer in Chamanga". Awesome!!!!
