We love the place. It is always special. The food is great and we have always had wonderful service. I always leave with a extra full belly.

My wife just raves about this place, but every time I go there I have a mediocre food experience. The service is always good though.

What a find in Montecristi, Manabi, Ecuador
We had stopped for a night at the hotel balcones del cerro montecristi, Review to follow, and asked for somewhere to eat.
Well at the end of this dead road and up the many steps was a beautiful restaurant straight out of the hills of Tuscany. The commanding view of the valley beneath and the glimmering nighttime lights of the City of Manta off in the distance only put us in the mood for some good food.
We stayed several days longer than anticipated in order to sample the beautiful and talented Chef, Gabriele. Just ask the waitress to have "Gabi" make her "Specialty of the night" and you will experience a gastronomic joy. The Caesar was perfect and served with a couple of fresh apple slices? The bittersweet taste of the apple with the Caesar dressing was awesome. Fresh homemade black Fettuccine served a perfect Al dente, one with shrimps plucked from the nearby sea hours earlier and the other in a steamed envelope with vegetables from the their garden with 'Sea Bass' again fresh from the ocean. And if you're fortunate to get it, not on the menu, you must have Gabi's fresh ice cream. We feel in love with both her and her food.
Definitely a restaurant that is worth a long drive. A dining emporium! And remember this is Ecuador, with a 25% gratuity, soup to nuts, with wine for under $40.00 for the two of us.
