Thrifty Ecuador No la recomiendo para nada. Hice una reservación con una semana de antelación y en menos de 24 horas antes del día que necesitaba el auto me avisaron por correo electrónico que la reservación había sido cancelada por “inconvenientes con la flota”. No pierdan el tiempo ni siquiera reservando con ellos.

Same experience as all the others. But I called instead of showing up so that saved me a lot of time. They couldn't find my reservation and had no cars available. Is this place a front for a drug operation? Has anyone actually rented a car from them????

They don't honored online reservations, even though my credit card was covering the collision car insurance, the agent didn't release the car until I purchased collision insurance with them (+$20 × day). Additionally they charged a security deposit that ranges from $1,000 to $5,000.
Their car selection and conditions are nothing desirable , if you return a car after 9:00 pm there is no body at the garage, you have to look for a security guard, and will call the kiosk an the airport.
You are better off by hiring a local minivan; driver included for around $50 dollars per day.

Do not rent a car from this company / No rentes autos de esta compañia. They give you a copy of the registration of the car. Its illegal to drive with the copy of the registration in Ecuador. The police will arrest you and they can take the car. If for some reason, you did not notify them that you had problems with the registration of the car, they will say that they have no responsibility for anything. My recommendation is to never rent a car from this company.
