This place is great! Cottages are clean and spacious. Kitchen was full size in our cottage. Beautiful courtyard with a pristine pool, tables, chests full of games, and a small outdoor bar. This is a nice and quiet retreat for families and couples. Beachfront cottages so you can hear the ocean waves each night. Breakfast was excellent!!! Also one of the few places in town to find drip coffee. Walking distance to many restaurants as well as San Clemente and La Boca. Staff went above and beyond for us and our four children ♡

I loved my experience at The Cottages by the Sea so much that it is now one of my favorite places in the world. The beautiful pool and gardens next to the uninterrupted view of the sea across the street combined with the hospitality and air conditioning! I was in heaven. Now I just dream of living there for a summer. Kimberly has thought of absolutely everything and executed it all brilliantly. My stay lived up to all my expectations from my six months of stalking it online. I will be returning as soon as possible.

My wife and I spent a wonderful four days. Great hosts. So clean and well appointed. Always great to have the choice of the pool or the ocean. This was by far our best stop on our Ecuador vacation! Can't wait to go back!

I had the absolute pleasure of spending 3 months at the cottages. I have no complaints. The power does go off, but that is the power company and no fault of The Cottages. They do have a generator and are speedy to get everything running again. I am now in the process of going back for an undetermined amount of time. It is a perfect place to be.

Absolutely wonderful place. I spent 1 week and really enjoyed the experience. The cottages are nicely decorated and the kitchens are fully functional for cooking meals. The owner, Kimberly, went out of her way to make this a memorable experience.

This is pleasant and relaxing place to visit during a short stay in Ecuador. The proprietor Kim James is welcoming when you arrive. They have beautifully decorated 1 and 2 bedroom cottages for rent that are furnished. The decor is nicely done, and the rooms are very comfortable.They have a very nice pool with well manicured gardens all around the property. The flowers and plants are gorgeous! They say they are pet friendly, but I believe things are different. You might want to check on this and make sure. This is a nice place to stay for a weekend or a couple of days but beyond that they are not equipped to handle it. The internet and power go out frequently, so beware!
