I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. That was my first day & night in Equator and I met loads of nice people and had the opportunity to visit main spots of the city. Location is good, there is a beautiful sight on the city. Staff is nice and speak English. Price is correct for the capital. I strongly recommend!

Staff are fantastic and amazingly helpful. The rooms are clean and comfy, with good wifi everywhere. Hot water and pressure is a big plus for the showers. Location is right in the heart of the old town. The hostel arranges a communal dinner for 5 usd every night, so it's great for meeting people and a cheap meal!

Wish I could’ve stayed forever. Spent an entire week here and made the most amazing friends. The rooftop has unparalleled views. Good happy hour deals. Dinner options are awesome and great opp to meet people. I will be back.

Met a lot of amazing people here that I have kept in contact with. All the staff are amazingly nice. Make sure to go to secret garden Cotopaxi as well it's amazing! Showers were cleaned often with good pressure and water flow. The hammock overlooking all of Quito is truly amazing, I spent a lot of time on the rooftop with an absolutely stunning view.

Located near the heart of Quito's old City, Secret Garden Quito is in an excellent spot to get around. Just a short walk to the National Basilica, National Square, and several bus stations makes it a convinient hostel to see all the sites. And the view from the rooftop terrace is incredible. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms, and shared spaces are clean and spacious. Lock boxes are available in all dorm rooms. Breakfast, dinner, and drinks are served on he terrace for an additional charge, but are very nice for weary travelers. All in all a great hostel! Also worth a visit is the sister hostel in Cotopaxi, absolutely stunning.

The room we stayed in was clean and quiet, the services are clean despite being communal. The staff is friendly and the rooftop restaurant has good food, good alcohol, and a gorgeous view. Has WiFi as well.

Great hostel, great atmosphere and a great view. Keep in mind that it's very popular though and that you won't find peace and quietness here. If you want that, go to their hostel near cotopaxi, that one is even more amazing!

Decent prices with a really great view. Breakfast wasn't great, definitely would recommend having breakfast outside the hostel. Beds and bathrooms were good and hot showers. Good lockers with power outlets in.

This is an amazing hostel. It doesn't look like much from it's facade, but the inside is packed with a maze of rooms and beds. There is a rooftop bar that provides an amazing view of the city at night. Plenty of hammocks all around too.

Not that good of a place. rooms and dorms were expensive and noisy. Also i got money stolen in the dorm and they didn't helped for one bit. After that I heard of other thieves story from backpacker. If you can speak Spanish, there are better options for way less money.

Great hostel - very social atmosphere with a restaurant/bar upstairs overlooking the old town. Very easy to meet fellow travellers. Has both cheap options (dorms around $10) and more expensive but affordable private room options. Only complaint is the wifi which is painfully spotty.

Nice hostel, very friendly and helpful staff. The hostel is very social with a communal dinner on the roof terrace and a bar. The bar shuts around 11pm so it isn't too noisy. The beds are comfortable, rooms and bathrooms regularly cleaned. I would definitely stay here again.

A great hostel for meeting people and exploring the region in groups, minor party environment.

The hostel is five-ish levels of private rooms, bunk rooms, scattered bathrooms, community areas, and a terrace with a bar. The location is good, allowing fast access to Old Town or Mariscal using the taxis always parked outside or on foot. A tour business also runs on the first level, and the front door of the hostel is within line of sight of a brewery, a laundromat, an art-cafe, a few restaurants, and other hostels.

The hostel itself is very clean. There are always staff members cleaning rooms or bathrooms or halls. The bathrooms themselves are quite satisfactory. Water pressure is solid and the taps run hot, though sometimes it's hard to keep the showers at a consistent temperature. The terrace upstairs is great for meeting people, and the bar serves food (fairly good breakfast and dinner options, vegetarian or non vegetarian, no vegan) as well as drinks (lower quality, but fairly inexpensive). Drinks are usually served until 11, when the terrace closes. The staff sometimes plan buses to clubs or other such adventure upon closing.

The staff of the hostel is accommodating, and usually they can either help you with whatever your need or point you to someone who can. They are also lax about the duration of stays. Very pleasant to interact with always.

The hostel had an agreement with many of the taxis for set prices to certain places or areas. Although this alleviates the possibility of being ripped off, it's almost always more expensive than having the driver use the meter, even after rounding the price up to the nearest dollar. Still, when somewhere where am expensive taxi is $6 and an inexpensive one $3, is hard to worry about it too much.

Overall, highly recommended.

They still had to clean the room when we checked in, that's no big deal. But the cleaning staff decided to steal the 5$ left in the room that was for dinner. Yes we should have taken it with us, but we forgot about it. So just be warned they have thieves working for them.

Hip hostel in Quito, Ecuador. The best price for the quality and service of the place. Good continental breakfast, not too many options for dinner, but they are usually tasty. The energy of the hostel is green, traveler on a budget, backpacker, and on the younger demographic. Didn't see anyone in their 50's. It could be because there are a lot of stairs, from the ground level to the restaurant/check-in desk, on the roof, on the 4th floor. No biggie when you are climbing mountains, or are just fit.

This hostel is all about the roof top. Excellent view and really social. No complaints with the room. It did however feel like they try to push their tours and food a bit hard there are other options out there

World class view from the bar! That's reason enough to stay here. Great social place to meet travelers--with a fair closing time at 11pm to encourage people to actually go out on the town while the hostel stays quiet for those going to sleep.

Ask them about a couple of days at their Cotopaxi hostel for some amazing hiking.
