Amazing! Our experience was great with a personal guide Javier was so well spoken with his English and knowledge of wildlife. This is a great place to get away from tourists and have your own vacation and to be close to nature.

Incredible experience. Don't miss the night hike, night paddle, and every opportunity to explore this beautiful reserve. The lodge is community-run and the guides and staff are excited to share their knowledge, territory, and hospitality with visitors. Bring your sense of wonder and a respect for the land and its inhabitants!

This is one of the WORST experiences I have had in my life. I have spent years traveling and NEVER had such a poor experience as I did with the staff at sani lodge. Firstly, on the journey home, their staff went through our bags on the boat and stole an ipod and other valuable items. They lied about it and then when they recovered the items they refused to offer financial compensation. Also, to date, we have still not received our belongings (1.5 months later). Secondly, the guides were highly unprofessional: wielding machetes in our faces as "a joke". Third: they used drugs (illegal ones) on our walks right in front of us. Fourthly: we did not see any animals: the site is far too close to the booming oil industry in ecuador: go elsewhere if you are serious about seeing wildlife. Lastly: after stealing from us and failing to compensate us financially they had the audacity to file a complaint about us to our embassy also, the PR manager informed me that she was pregnant (why did I need to know that??). I have copies of ALL the emails sent from them, will forward them on request. If you are going to spend this kind of money PLEASE spend it elsewhere. They abuse their staff and do not pay them even minimum wage. The profit goes to the chiefs who do not share the wealth with the tribe.

Very wonderful lodge, in the Jungle! You can do a lot of activity in the Jungle. The jungle guides are very well prepared!

This is a great place. With a great canopy tower and trails. Birded here for 7 days. Churi was a great native bird guide. Loved him. There are more luxurious lodges nearby but this is less crowded and run by the local tribe.

We had a great stay here. Not luxurious, but very comfortable, with wonderful staff and great guides.
