  Mosquito's everywhere! Did not seem like a safe place, the guard was less than helpful. Will not return! Try Bucay Cloud forest its only and hour and a half from Guayaquil, so much better!

  Definitely get a guide: it is difficult to catch everything the park has to offer without a trained eye leading the group.

  I got shot in the face in this natural reserve. I paid more than a 100 bucks for a tour I never got the chance to do. Very hard to get my money back. Police seized my car and my stuff as evidence and it's been almost impossible to get the equipment back (I least I got the car back but I needed to hire a lawyer). They told me it was an isolated event but I found out that it is not, many robberies and kidnappings in the area. Police haven't done much to increase protection to visitors. Lack of coordination between ministry of environment and police to ensure visitors safety. Police officer that assisted me (after I drove 15 mins to find assistance on the main road while shot) said he did not know about the existence of a national natural reserve around. No places or facilties to get assistance. No results from police investigation so far. This is mi 1st place in a No go list, please consider asking for police guard before entering the side roads. If you think I am joking, please think twice. I am a very seasoned traveler, been from golden triangle to Vancouver and I've never been attack, well only here in my own country.

  Es un excelente lugar hay mariscos y es agradable ir a unos 15 minutos hay una hermosa cascada se las recomiendo mucho.
