Absolutely magical beauty
Beautiful island with a lot of wildlidlfe like birds, snakes and other smale reptiles. Be aware to take a pet, sunscreen and insect repelient in rain saison. There might be a lot of 'non poison' insects/muscitos which are anoying. You have several hiking trails on the island which you can take dependent on the time you have. Also you can combine it with snorkling trip where you will see stingrays, pufferfish and a lot of turtles.
Beautiful island to visit. Came during the off season (no whales) and it was still worth the visit- saw many baby blue-footed booby birds, took the “shorter” path to the cliff side that offered an incredible view. Hike was steep and little shade cover - straight up many steps at the beginning. Bring a hat, bathtub suit for snorkeling, good walking shoes, water bottle (no concessions on the island) and sunscreen.
If you're eager to see blue footed boobies then go. This is the main attraction. You can also see the turtles in the water. We paid around $30 from Puerto López. An expert tip, if you are prone to sea sickness do not go when the moon is full. The moon has a massive influence on the swell in this part of the world. We went when the swell was quite low but it seemed big.
