Una hermosa colección de artesanías tradicionales y otras obras de arte. En el segundo piso hay un increíble museo de arqueología y artesanías tradicionales del Ecuador. En la tienda, la selección de piezas es variada y muy bien curada, con obras únicas y hermosas. Los precios son adecuados, teniendo en cuenta que son obras producidas por artesanos de diferentes partes del país.

This is a great store with an amazing variety of art and handcrafts from all over Ecuador. The mini museum on the second floor is pretty cool. It features some ancient relics (stone chairs, pots, jewelry, mortars and pestles, etc.).
My only issue with this place was how the staff follow you around everywhere. They have security cameras, so I'm not sure why this is necessary. It's just a bit unwelcoming and off putting to see someone peaking around the corner at you while you're browsing the art.
The lady who greeted me was really nice though!

This is a must see in Quito. Olga Fisch may have departed her earthly residence, but her legend lives on. See Ecuador's handicrafts turned into art. Her efforts working with artisans over the decades have created works that go beyond the level of mass produced handicrafts.

While handicrafts absolutely claim a necessary place in the heart of Ecuador, those that have taken it to a different level are the difference of "painting by the numbers" to art by Guayasamin. Just one persons view, not necessarily shared by all.
