One of the best collections of indigenas archeologica in Cuenca with a great gift shop and courtyard cafe.
They have a lot of beautiful old things. The price is fair for students. It's an interesting place for about an hours visit.
This is a great museum. $4/adult, children are free. My daughters (8 and 7) and I sent a good chunk of time here. We were given and English guidebook at the beginning. The museum is larger than it appears from the entrance. The shop at the end is also lots of fun to look at.
This private museum has quite a large collection of artifacts on display. It’s well laid out in an order that shows the progression of improved craftsmanship over time. Crazy that this is all a private collection, as it’s bigger than many museums I’ve visited. I had to asked the attendants for my change, which they seemed annoyed at me for.
Amazing collection of inca crafts! You can't miss it
Cool museum that has a wide collection of items representing aboriginal tribes that lived in Ecuador.
There's an english guide to follow to learn about this history.
What a beautiful place!
The only museum I would enjoy visiting again.
The owner is a beautiful and charming lady, which adds to the charm of the place.
I fell in love with a painting in that museum!!! :)
You might miss this small museum from the street, but it's worth a look. It cost $3 or $4 to go through, and they have an interesting collection of indigenous pottery and tools. There is also a manuscript room on site that would be useful if you are interested in cultural research. The pieces are predominately Ecuadorian, and range in eras from various regions and cultures of the country. They provide a limited, but helpful exhibit guide, available in several languages. Theres a nice gift shop and small cafe on the site as well.
Extrordinary collection of lithic, ceramic and metal artifacts from precolombian cultures. Friendly staff and interesting gift shop. Well worth your time and a very small admission fee.
Incredible! Most impressive collection of pre-Columbian art imaginable. Over a thousand pieces on display of wide ranging diversity and high quality.
