  Mr. Remigio Crespo Toral, born in 1860 lived a long and very accomplished life as an author, journalist and lawyer. His restored home is absolutely beautiful, and is free to enter! There are thousands of pieces of archaeological importance, including valuable gold and ceramic pieces. Highly recommended.

  Interesante museo dedicado a la memoria de don Remigio Crespo Toral en lo que fue su casa. Se puede observar diversas colecciones y objetos de su pertenencia. Además que existen exposiciones temporales muy llamativas. La gente que lo atiende es muy amable. La entrada es gratuita.

  A must see. This is a fantastic do-up and restoration of an old home as a museum of the city. It's FREE, open during business hours. But the cafe on the slope down to the river is the real gem, beautiful garden setting for a drink or light meal or snack. Walk up or down from the Tomebamba through the museum - it's that open.
