Amazing place to view Quilotoa Lake! Beautiful views. Can walk down to the bottom to the lake as well.

A little village with nice and friendly people live on tourism. Huge and beautiful Laguna with free entrance (you have to register though). There are a lot of horses for rent to go up from the bottom at US$ 10/person/time but you definitely can make it yourselves by walking if you go slow. Try the Trucha (trout) in the Chukirawa hostal, they are fresh, tasty and cheap, US$6/portion. The street vendors are a little bit overpriced compare with other areas in Ecuador, but you are at a tourist attraction anyway. And the local are very nice when providing services.

The ho chocolate is to die for!!! Great little restaurant if you’re not in a hurry as you shouldn’t be in Quilotoa!

It is a great place for awesome pictures. There is a trail that you can take that leads you around the crater. Little shops and cafes with artisanal items. Super cold.

Beautiful spot to visit in Ecuador! I didn't hike down to the bottom because when I arrived in the early afternoon, it was very crowded. I recommend arriving earlier in the day if you can. It was also fairly cloudy when i was there so I missed seeing the changing colors of the water with the sun, and I've heard that mornings are clearer

What a great place. The Laguna is spectacular and the shops/restaurants offer great food and affordable prices. I rode there on my motorcycle and the roads were well paved the entire way. The temp can be pretty chilly it can get quite windy so be prepared for all types of weather.

The view is simply astounding! If you ever visit Ecuador, you definitely need to come visit this lake. The colors and nature are so unique!

The end (or beginning) of the Quilotoa loop lives up to the hype. A massive crater Lake. Hike down inside but beware it is a very sandy hike.

Stunning view! It took us 30 minutes to go down and approx 1 hour to go up again. Calm, peaceful. I'll be back some day.
