One of the top places of Ecuador, it offers infrastructure, variety, and the operators and staff's comprehensive knowledge of the area. You can come here and expect a top-notch experience.
Eating:
I have had some of the best rare fillet mignon here, as well as soups, salads, juices.
Staffing:
from the construction workers, to massage therapists, everyone is friendly. If you call during the day, expect a bilingual staff member (at least one) to be available.
Buildings:
All are kept up to code - north american code. That means no freaky 'permanent' set-ups as I've seen since being around town. Outlets, lights, water function as one would expect. No weird leaks in the roof - you would be highly surprised what is acceptable at a lot of money elsewhere.
Vegetation, Kitchen, Ambience:
They have their own sources of much of what goes on the table. The kitchen is excellent. The dining experience is surreal, peaceful. If you've been in town with the noise on weekends, then you know.
Rooms:
Comfortable beds, quiet. You feel relaxed immediately.response / report this review -

As I right now, look out my window at Madre Tierra at room #8, with a panoramic view of the Vilcabamba Valley and Mandago Mountain just before, and feel the perfect warm breeze flow in through the area, there is just an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility that really gets you to say, "Yes, stay just a little longer"
Being warmly welcomed by the family and staff that take pride in their resort allows you to truly feel so comfortable here. They really care that you have a great place to stay and a good experience.
Experiencing the restaurant daily allowed me to see how the incredible quality of the food has been every single day, quite a consistency I've been impressed with. Refreshing it is to see vegetables that have just been freshly picked from the organic garden across the street to be used in the onsite restaurant.
Every room I've have the chance to see the inside of all had amazing character to them, many spectacular bathroom designs. You can tell they've spend lots of time and effort to make sure your room will be as bug free and in working order as can be.
Would I encourage others to stay here? Absolutely, and I have many, many times. Their selection of rooms cover every budget.
Will I be back again? I already have been and sure to many more :^)
